Brother Murray Gordon
Brother Murray Paul Gordon was born and raised in Columbia TN where he graduated from Columbia Central High school. Before answering the call to be a pastor in 2016 Murray worked at Cosmo Lab in Lewisburg for 13 years then became a grocery store manager. He became a licensed pastor in the United Methodist Church in 2018. He has served in Hardin and Lawrence counties in Tennessee before coming to Chapel Hill. Murray is currently enrolled in the UMC Course of Study. Murray has been married to (Miss) Becky for 28 years. They have 2 adult children, a daughter in law and granddaughter. They share their home with 2 cats and a dog. He enjoys playing guitar, singing, leading worship and writing songs. He is an avid reader, especially Christian fiction. His wife and him also like to travel when possible.
Kathy Stricklin, Office Manager
Kathy joined our staff in March of 2020 as the Office Manager for our church and our Early Learning Center.
She married her high school sweetheart and best friend, Rodger, and they have been married for 34 years. They have two amazing adult daughters, Rachel and Briana. Kathy and Rodger also recently became grandparents when their granddaughter, Presley, was born.
Kathy loves to spend time with her family, along with being outside, playing with their dogs, Bronco and Lucy, and volunteering to help people in our community.

Melinda Poag, Pianist & Music Director
Melinda has served in our music ministry since 2016. She and her husband are parents to a wonderful daughter.
Melinda loves sports (volleyball, in particular), being outdoors and gardening. She loves providing an environment where people can experience the presence of God through music.
If you would like to participate in our music ministry through singing in our choir or using your instrumental gifts in worship, Melinda would love to chat with you!

Aubrey Gilliam, Nursery Care
Aubrey has served in our Nursery since 2023. She is studying Early Elementary Education at Columbia State College. She loves working with children and offers a loving presence in our nursery.
